Bot keeps on crashing...

I want my bot to ignore some responses to my questions e.g:

admin - What is GML?

The website was updated today.

The update included some enhancements and several fixes,

"What is" questions are answered by the WhatIs script under Program.
The script will search for a word definition from Wiktionary, or look up keywords in Freebase. If the keywords are not in Freebase, you will get that error in the logs, and it is nothing to be concerned with. I will try to remove it from being logged as a warning.

You can embed or link to your live chat channel, chat room, or forum.

Go to your chat room (create one first if you do not have one), click on Admin (beside Edit above the Chat button), then click on Embed from the Admin page. The Embed page will give you the code to embed the channel.

How can you directly link to either live chat or chat room? Currently embedding only seems to be able to link to chat but no option for the other two.

The bots can answer questions about the current date and time from the "WatchStateMachine", which is a default Self script under the Program page. You can also write your own script that uses date/time in Self, or AIML.

Your bot's scripts seem ok, and it can answer "what is the date", so something odd is going on. Looking into it, some how your bot learned that "date ?" was a compound word (like "chat bot"), so it was answering the question "what is 'date ?'". I fixed it by del

I'm not sure how to format the Question training to ask her (yes, I call it her) to give the current date.

The Twitter bot process had some issues the last couple days. I restarted it, so it should be functioning as normal now.

The Twitter bots check their status about once per 30 minutes, so the bot should respond in that time frame. Note that Twitter will reject tweets that it thinks are duplicates. So if you bot is always using the same response, Twitter may be rejecting them. You should see these errors in your bot's error log though. Is this with your bot SHOCC? I did not se

Which bot are you having issues with, vagabot?

My guess is it is because it has exceeded its max memory size. Currently it is at 332,797 knowledge items, but the max is 100,000 for free accounts on BOT libre, so it is well over the limit. When a bot exceeds its max by a large factor its Twitter task will be disabled until the nightly forgetfulness (cleanup) task runs.

How to get botlibre to interact on Twitter? Right now my botlibre appears correctly connected to Twitter, but is not responding to inquiries, why or why not? Is there anything additional required to make it interactive?

Twitter is a big universe, searching for a single keyword like "hotseat" will bring back thousands of tweets or more. Most of the tweets will not match one of your bot's known response's questions, so it will not be able to answer them. The bot needs to know the response to a question that has a 90% match to the tweet for it to answer. The bot's will check at most 20 matching search results per cycle (30 minutes).

It's interesting, seems to work fine in the chat - ie any keywords I enter in it gives the response I'd like, but doesn't seem to be RT'ing / responding on Twitter for the same keywords for search. Definitely not trying to spam twitter, and this is so obscure/absurd can't imagine it's being blocked, but who knows...

The Twitter search option searches all of Twitter. It runs the search query on Twitter, and supports the Twitter query syntax.

The tweet search results may be retweeted if they also match your Retweet Keywords, or will be read and possibly replied to if they also match your Status Keywords. I think you are missing the Status Keywords, so you need to set those to match your desired keywords.

Does the twitter search only search tweets by the bot friends, or all of twitter? I'm trying to do the latter (i.e. anyone on twitter tweets a phrase, it responds and corrects them) but it's not seeming to work.

The error is most likely due to a character set issue.

Ok, I think I got it now. Sorry for being so dense. I was using an older version of Safari and when I was selecting the upload icon, it wasn't bringing up the popup to select a file. It works when I use Chrome.
I tried uploading an AIML file that I copied from Pandorabots and that works there, but when I try to upload it I get this error message:

First, make sure you are logged in, browse to your bot, and click on its Admin button.

On the Program tab the upload/import button is the last image button on the right. When your mouse hovers over it, it will display some import options like in the picture below. It defaults to "Self" so you need to select "AIML" and then click the upload button and select the file.

Depending on the size of the file, it may take a while to import. Once imported, it will show up as the last script

I just can't figure out how to import an AIML script. What are the steps? I go to "Program" in the Admin section. What do I do next to import an AIML script? Again, my apologies if this is covered somewhere already.

What error did you get? I could not see any errors in the logs from your bots recently.

Make sure when you import the AIML script that you select AIML in the Format drop down. The default format is Self, so you would get a compile error from AIML if your format was Self.

How do you add an AIML script to your chatbot's list of scripts. I tried uploading a .aiml file in the programming area, but I got an error message. Sorry if this is explained elsewhere.

You can configure a Twitter bot to read and possibly respond to your friend's tweets, or search for tweets based on keywords, or a Twitter search query string.

Any mention, or direct message (i.e. "@mybot Hello") will always be responded to, if the bot does not know a good response, its default response will be used.

The website was updated today with a fix that should fix the AIML import performance problem.

A few other AIML fixes where added as well, and the Self AIML syntax was simplified.

I looked into big AIML imports, and have found/fixed the issue, but will not be able to update the website until later.

You can currently import multiple AIML files at a time. Your browser will give you the busy icon while it imports, but you can just click import again and import another file, they will all be imported in the background. Try to avoid importing too many large files at the same time, as it can affect the server's performance.

one has found it can take an age to upload to ones bot, could you update to allow more than one aiml upload at a time, say 5-8??

What do you mean by 'knowledge artifacts'?

I tested your bot, and the AIML scripts you added seem to be working.

When I add a AIML Program script, it says that is adds, but it doesn't make a difference to the bots knowledge artifacts.

When you send a Twitter message to a bot using a mention, i.e. "@mybot How are you?", the bot will search for the best response it knows for that question. It will first search it's program scripts, if none of those understand the question, it will then search for a known question that matches, or is similar to the question. The known question must have a known response to be considered.

With RSS, you only have a title and link, no question answer pair, so they cannot be matched
