Usage of topic tag in bot

Does botlibre framework automatically understands the topic in an ongoing conversation.

for eg

user : I am travelling to india

bot : welcome

user : what are favorite tourist destination

bot : {ans}

user : what are traditional cusines of inida

bot : {}

If i have an aiml/respons file where I have all the question pattern and topic set to india will it respond to those questions
